Autumn Days

We've had quite the eventful October. A few volleyball games, a house inspection, some playdates & a lot of days at home playing with the little man... who is almost one!! Since most people "read" blogs for pictures, I'll start this one out right. :)

Trying to take pumpkin pics, but Rowan kept staring at the cars driving by :)

Rowan after his first haircut! (by mom...)
What most of my days consist of... 3 meals, 3 bottles, and a lot of clean-up! But he's so stinkin cute....

Our first trip to the library.. .who needs books?

Attacking the camera... every time.

The highlight of our month was our getaway trip to Colorado. I had the ADA conference to go to (in order to keep my RD license with CEUs) in Denver for a few days. So back in March, I started searching for plane tickets to save some bucks and we came upon a deal that was too good to pass up. And since Kyle had never been to Colorado, we got 2 tix for $107 each. Roundtrip. That was unheard of. So, we ventured out there, just the two of us. Grandma Pattison watched Rowan (thank you!!!!) for the entire week and was definitely worn out by the time we returned home. :) Here are a few pics from our vacation....

I started my trip off right... a bag of caramel corn & iced mocha... yes, I was headed to a dietetics conference. I don't care!

We spent a morning in Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods.

The payoff at the top of "The Incline" in Manitou Springs. Definitely worth the climb :)

Downtown Estes Park. Beautiful area & fun shops! (I didn't purchase anything....)

Sunset in Boulder. How can you live in Colorado and not believe in God? I was continously reminded of God's love the entire week. What a beautiful creation.

And for the record, this took me 40 minutes to post. I better get more efficient or there will only be one post per month... I don't have 40 extra minutes a day!

A Favorite Pastime

So I've always been a fan of reality stuff (for the most part), and one of my favorites is reading blogs. It's so fun to see what other people are up to, hear other's stories and live life together even if miles separate us. So here's my attempt at blogging. We'll see where the road leads us :)

As many of you readers (none right now, but hopefully some soon) know, we have been "homeless" for about 9 months now. Well, not the entire 9 months because our house took forever to sell, but that's a whole other story. Life has been one huge whirlwind starting last November 3rd when Rowan came into our lives. And to be honest, he came in roaring like a lion.... and still does :) We are moving into a new house mid-November and cannot be more excited to start a new journey (again). God has definitely proven faithful and remained our rock and cornerstone when everything else in our lives has come unraveled. Needless to say, we're ready for a few more areas of life to feel "normal" for our little family. In one year, we have moved twice, had a baby, gone on a couple vacations, both changed jobs, and have been stretched beyond what we thought possible. We are looking forward to the new transition and what God is going to do in our lives. Thanks for sharing the journey!
